Things that help

1. Seeking God when others are near

2. Watching TV helps me calm down when I get upset -
I like Disney XD or a good cartoon movie or even a movie that has kids as the main character. A really good one like that is "Sandlot 2". Grandma thinks "Martian Child" is good - and I liked it but it reminded me of me!

3. Read your favorite book.

4. Coloring in a book or on a blank sheet of paper. Keep the book, paper, and crayons in easy to get to places so that when you are sad you can find them (of course it is fun to do art when you are happy too!)

5. If you have a trampoline, jump on it.

6. If you have a pet, cuddle it.

7. It is OK to be moody - don't be mad at yourself for it. It is OK to cry too. Cuddling with someone that is nice and kind is good when you are sad...

  2. These are positive and very thoughful ways to calm down. I have gone through so much now I just sit and calm. I think when you get older there seems to be a calming comes with it. Through life itself and with this comes an acceptablilty of yourself. I like being older. Maybe more creaky with bones etc,lol! Good times to look forward too. A strong spirited you!
